I studied history and philosophy and Evangelical Lutheran Christendom at the University of Oslo, then further studies in Evangelical Lutheran Christendom at the University of Trondheim where I also received the Diploma of Education. Advanced studies in the field of church history and the history of Norwegian Unitarianism at The Lutheran School of Theology in Oslo where I did research on the history of the first Norwegian Unitarian movement. An unfinished study in Catholic Practical Theology at Maryvale Institute in Birmingham (UK).
Got married with 3 children and worked for many years as a teacher in Norwegian junior high school teaching history and Lutheran Christendom (later renamed “Christian knowledge and religious and ethical education”), and Norwegian for foreigners (so called Norwegian II-classes). And for the Church of Norway for seven years in full and part-time jobs as Evangelical Lutheran pastor and catechist. Also holding positions such as parish clerk and verger.

The summer of 1987 I did an expedtion to Italy and have now ended up with four children. Yes, you see them alll on this page. Never again I will trust someone saying he is preparing for a franciscan monastery. It all happened in Assisi where the franciscans have their headquarter, on a surprisingly hot day.
No big surprise I then simply had to go to the nearest college of education and there specialize in preschool pedagogics. Got my diploma and enjoy working with all kind of children. The past years I've been a preschool teacher.
